"I See London, I See France"

I left to run a few errands this afternoon with my shorts in tact. I thought I felt them catch on something when I got in my car, but never heard a rip, so thought nothing of it.
Went to Walgreens, walked around, got some contact solution and lotion.
Next stop was Schnucks. Got out, parked far away, got my cart and stopped at the flowers. When I bent down to look at a bouquet, something felt weird. I put my hand on my butt and to my shock and horror, felt my UNDERWEAR! I immediately put my big (thankfully) purse over my rear end and walked like I have never walked before right out of that store! I got home and this is the gigantic rip I had in my shorts! I have no idea what happened. I am so stinking mad because I just bought these shorts (full price) from the GAP and they were gonna last me all summer!!!
Oh, how embarrassing- my underwear out there for all of STL to see! And, the bad news is, I still have to go back to the grocery store!

Oh Corie, I laughed! Is that ok?! :) Omgoodness!! What I can't believe is that nobody didn't tell you! Unless maybe they thought this was the new trend? (hehe) or that they didn't want you to know that they were looking at your rear? (I'm still giggling!) And what's also funny is that you made Keith take a picture of your booty! lmbo! Sooo funny :) Sorry this happened, though! I wonder if there was maybe a flaw in the pants?! I'd try taking them back because you never know . . . may have happened to others who bought the same style???

It's ok that you laughed. I can laugh at it now. Plus, that seems to be the most common response to the situation.
Tracy mentioned that I should try to take them back and exchange them too. So, I just might do that next time I am at the mall.
I'll be checking my pants, shorts, skirts, etc.... a lil more carefully when I leave the house from now on! :)

That was a funny story!!! I had that happen to me with a pair of new maternity pants. My mom and I were out garage sale hopping and I sat down in the car and heard this mighty tearing sound. I was so close to my due date that I couldn't justify buying more, but I think I actually cried. At least it was in the safety of the car and not in the middle of a store. Poor girl!!! It is really funny that you got him to take a picture. I probably would have too.
