A Good Excuse to Comment.....

(**This will be a sticky post until Oct. 3. New posts will be posted below.**)

Ok, if this doesn't get everyone commenting, I don't know what will!!!

The first week in October is Buy A Friend A Book Week! I first heard about this week from my friend Erin. She's participating in BAFAB Week again, so you may want to check out her blog too!

Basically, I will be choosing a "winner" on Wednesday October 3 (that gives you one week). The person I choose will be receiving the book of their choice. If you want to be in the running for a free, new book, all you have to do is leave me a comment and let me know what book you would choose. I'll pick a winner on October 3 and mail their book soon after.

I just love the idea of this week- they have numerous BAFAB weeks throughout the year! Books are a passion of mine and I'll take advantage of every chance I have to share that passion.

If you haven't commented before, don't be intimidated- Just click on "comments" at the bottom of this post. Leave me a comment and let me know what book you would choose in the comment space provided. Be sure to let me know who you are- I won't be able to consider any anonymous comments. If you don't have a blogger account, just click on "Other" and type in your name (a website is not necessary). If I don't have your email, please leave that too. I'll need a way to contact the winner so I can get their mailing address.

I can't wait to buy a book for one lucky winner!!!!!

Hi Corie,
Lucky me I get to be your first post. This is a neat idea to get people to start reading. People spend so much of their free time watching the blue hue, don't get me wrong there are somethings ya just gotta watch!! But we should strengthen our brains by reading more. As you know the first book I have read in awhile is 'Redemption' by Karen Kingsbury, on our vacation. I didn't get the next book from you when we left your house and I have been telling myself to get up to the library to and get it. I absolutely loved that book and every night when I sit down and flip through the channels and find nothing to watch I tell myself, you should have went to the library!!! I would love to read any of her books if they all are as good as the first one I read. Thanks for introducing me to her. As much as I would like to receive a book in the mail, I can't wait----I'm going to the library now for the 2nd in the series--Hope they have her!!!

Linda,
I think all of Karen Kingsbury's are as good as the one you read. It amazes me how she is able to come up with lovable characters and story lines for so many stories! I own a lot of her books, you can borrow them anytime! :)

Hey Corie

I don't know what book I would choose either, but I thought I would like to participate also!! I know mom said that 'Redemption' was a wonderful book, but usually any book you give me to read is good so I trust your judgement.
