A Million Miles Before I Sleep......

That's what I feel like right now.

So much to do. How do I find time?

We are closing on our house tomorrow at 4:00. I can't believe it's really happening. We plan on going over to the house afterwards, taking dinner, and eating it on the floor. While we are there, we hope to have time to measure the rooms and start taping so we are ready to paint on Saturday.

We have some family and friends willing to help us paint this weekend. We are hoping to paint all three bedrooms, the hall and the living room. I think we will leave the kitchen and bathroom their current colors for now.

Our landlords want to show our apartment Wednesday while we are closing on the house. I feel like I need to clean, even though they told us not to worry about it. Yeah, right. Don't worry about it. How can I not? I have to admit, I have slacked in the cleaning department since I have known we will be moving. The floors have not been mopped. I quit dusting. Only the necessities are getting done. I'm a lil embarrassed to let people walk through.

Oh, and I am trying to implement a new "naptime routine" with Chloe. Started yesterday. I should have been doing this weeks ago. I plan on posting about it in the next few days, but lets just say that she had about 1 hour of nap yesterday, total. Poor thing was so tired, she fell asleep at 8:30 last night and is still zonked.

So much to do, so little time.
Overwhelmed does not even begin to describe me right now.
As I look over this post, it is even all over the map... just ramble and random. I'm going to leave it though cause my head is all jumbled and therefore, so is my post.

I would say clean the big stuff- run a vacuum - and that is about it. When you were looking at houses, did you check for dust on top of things? Probably not...
Hopefully Chloe will nap well today!

I remember when we were doing all this...it was hectic, and we had no baby. But you will survive and a couple months from now, you will be asking yourself, how did I let all that consume my life so much!

Oh how I wish I lived closer! I'd come over and help you pack and clean!

But since we don't I'll be praying for you! That you have energy and strength and a happy, cooperative baby!

The worst part about moving, whether it's renting or selling, is the showings of the current place. I remember how much I hated trying to keep it at show level, and I was only pregnant, I wasn't trying to take care of the baby too. But don't stress too much, you'll probably never even see the people looking at it face to face, so it won't matter in the long run if they saw some dust.

If it makes you feel better, my realtor called me to ask if he could show my condo that day to someone who was really interested. I was supposed to have 24 hour notification, but this person really wanted to see it that day, so I said ok, even though I knew it wasn't at show level. I had been running late that morning, when I got home I realized I left my pajamas on the bathroom sink, and a bra half hanging off the dresser. Dust would have been much better than that!
