That's How I Roll

Chloe turned 15 weeks on Wednesday.

Today, she turned over.

She has been close to her first roll over for a couple of weeks now. She would start off laying on her back and get to her side, but she just couldn't figure out how to get that top leg over or her bottom arm out from underneath her.

She finally figured it out.

She was laying on the living room floor, playing with some toys and cooing at herself. I walked into the kitchen to get my glass of water. I made it back to the living room just in time to see her get to her side, then go all the way over to her belly and push herself up on her arms!

Talk about a moment! I swear I clapped and cheered louder than Debbie Phelps when Michael won his 8th Olympic Gold.

While she was on her belly, she decided to take the opportunity to throw up.

I put her on her back and she went right back to her belly. She rolled over 3 times in a row for me and showed off her new moves for her Daddy once when he got home from work.

I'm still on a roll-over high.......

(I tried to post the short video clip I took, but my format wasn't recognized. Darn.)

Hi there, I've been reading your blog for awhile, but never comment. But wanted you to congratulate you on the roll-over! Big day! And just a tip from um, well,uh, experience... start using the safety belts on everything, including the changing table. Your sweet little bundle is no longer to be trusted! Moving changes everything! Oh and another thing, once they learn a new trick sometimes they can't sleep at night because they get so excited. So maybe the two are related? My sweeties couldn't sleep just before crawling or walking either. :-) kathy carr

She definitely beat AJU5 in the rolling over - she didn't do that until after she figured out how to crawl (7 months)! Now as others have mentioned, diaper changes become a blast! You might need to practice diapering a baby who is not on their back...

Isn't it funny how excited you get over things like rolling over? I have thought to myself, quite a few times after an excited outburst, if anyone was watching this they'd think I'm crazy!

Also, I laughed out loud after reading the part about her taking the opportunity to throw up. Too funny. Thankfully the spitting up/throwing up (for the most part) stops. I thought it never would!
